Iran shorts scoop awards from Russian film event

Two Iran short films have scooped awards at 10th International Youth Film Festival in Russia.

Saeed Nejati's ‘It Rains Slowly’ won the best patriotic film award while ‘Marlon’ directed by Dornaz Hajiha grabbed a jury nod from the Russian film event.

'It Rains Slowly' has taken part in a number of international film events bagging award from the 6th edition of the Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival.   

The two shorts are currently among the summer release of Iran’s Art and Experience Cinema.

The festival aims to show films by young filmmakers from around the world, bringing them together to share their experience.

The 10th edition of Int'l Youth Film Festival was held September 4 - 6, 2018 in Kazan, southwest Russia.
